Further to the theft and destruction to the shelter, toilets, tables, and other infrastructure at the Mangamate Campsite in October of this year, it has also come to our attention that fence posts have been taken from the Ng\u0101ti Whare Regeneration blocks, located along the Mangamate Campsite access road, large numbers were taken while contractors were working at the site, but also a large amount of posts have been taken from the ground since the fence was completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because of the issues mentioned here above, and concerns related to health and safety, Te Runanga o Ng\u0101ti Whare regretfully announce, the campsite will be closed using a gate to prevent vehicle access and further large-scale theft from occurring across the site. During the closure a site assessment, maintenance programme and maintenance will be completed with an alignment to industry standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
